Meet the Owner
My passion for events and organization started very young and I attribute it to my mother a nurse who had a passion for helping everyone. My parents were both in the Army so that made me a brat I am told. What it did do however, was take us all over the United States moving every year and starting over. It was adventurous and exciting, always learning new cultures and different foods. I learned organization and having a plan is necessary. When my mother took me to a new type of hotel (an atrium hotel) at the age of 16 I knew I wanted to work in hospitality right then. I did just that and graduated from Purdue University with a BS in event management and started in hospitality right away.
Over the years I worked at the Marriott Marco Island and Marriott Griffin Gate Resorts, the Hyatt and Hilton hotels and spent three years as Director of Catering for the Naples Beach Club. I have 26 years of combined experience in events and have achieved the titles of Certified Wedding Professional, Associated Bride Consultant, and Certified Meeting Planner (CMP). I have served on the Board of Directors of both the National Association of Wedding Professionals (NAWP) and the Wedding and Party Professionals of Naples as President. I earned the 2010 Leadership Award recipient from the Naples Chapter if the NAWP.Over the years I worked at the Marriott Marco Island and Marriott Griffin Gate Resorts, the Hyatt and Hilton hotels and spent three years as Director of Catering for the Naples Beach Club.
After many years of catering and events in hotels I decided it was time to own my own business and No Worries, Weddings & Events became my reality. I have not looked back, I have helped over 500 weddings become reality and have loved every minute of it. I have made so many friends and watched so many couples start their own families. This job is truly rewarding, organizing people, and helping people in. different way just like my mother did.
My favorite thing about weddings is the groom's face when the bride walks down the aisle the emotion is so pure and loving. I love flowers everywhere especially peonies and orchids they are so timeless. I also love when a couple has flower girls or ring bearers in the wedding party . This is one of the only times I cannot control the outcome during the day...
